Deputy Dog is a wonderful blog that deserves a mention for it's great photographic and web video list of weird and wonderful things. DD calls itself 'a website dedicated to showcasing incredible examples of the world’s most fascinating architecture, inspirational design, phenomenal natural oddities…'

Much like the latest private cinema post pic above. He's drawn up the strangest elevators and my favourite was all the most unusual runways, most of which are crazy web videos of planes landing on mountain sides and beaches, all fascinating to watch.  Here's a crazy landing at Courchevel mountainside runway below.

Hugh Hudson parodies himself for Silverjet Business Airline

Film director Hugh Hudson (Oscar winning Chariots of Fire) has remade his epic British Airways spot ‘Face’ for the UK business class airline Silverjet. They are the airline that recently made that cheeky girl on girl mile high viral too.

The original BA ads were on TV for five years in the old mass media world and watched by approximately 600 million people in 70 countries. The original spot featured a cast of thousands making up the face and the globe. The new Silverjet spot is the similar but slightly different. See embeds below.

As well as the other BA spot ‘Island’, Hudson is famous for directing the classic spots for Fiat ‘Handbuilt by Robots’, Courage Best ‘Gertcha’, the Benson & Hedges cigarette ‘Swimming pool’, and Cinzano “airplane”.  Here is the making of video for Silverjet commercial - link

Where is it safest to be seated on a Plane?

Continuing my love of flying, here's a useful tip when travelling, guess where it's safest to sit on a plane? The back. Popular Mechanics has a great post with all details and pics. I guess that's why it's the area of the plane where they seat families and young children.

First Fuel Cell UAV plane

Here's the first zero emissions fuel cell UAV (unmanned) aircraft website. It's only a model but it's the first step to a zero emissions hydrogen-powered aircraft. Here's the web video of it's maiden flight in Switzerland.
