Sony Miami Foam City Traditional TV Ad
Here's Sony's new ad from Fallon London. I think it's time for a change of strategy. I like the idea that Sony now have a blogger site for us all to rip all the video and audio, to spread the message. Underwhelming? What do you all think? You can watch the embed below and here's the TV ad link to the Sony site.

I agree, it is underwhelming. It's a nice idea just not shot in a very interesting or inspiring way.

Thanks for posting another example of Sony's corporate hubris. Who are they to fill an entire urban area with foam? Where did they get the foam? What is it's composition? How did they remediate the area and dispose of the foam? How truly out of touch can the Sony corporation be?
In other news, I try my best to avoid Sony products(because of their harrassment of the peons, the public), and I can see my avoidance should continue;D

I actually like this ad. It is simplistic in its approach and doesn't take the piss out of people. There is no message here about how much better your life will be when you buy a Sony camera. It is a subtle, but memorable way to deliver a message.

Unfortunately I'm underwhelmed. I loved the first colored-ball ad, and the exploding paint ad, but both of those had suspense that pulled me in to the visual narrative while this one just seems silly. Instead of making me wonder what would happen next, the foam makes me wonder when this ad will end.
Funny how one person can have different reactions to a similar concept, but there you have it. White fuzz is boring.

The ad actually reminds me of all the dust that came billowing out after the collapse of the Twin Towers.
